Karen Lewis

Karen Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Barnard College, Columbia University. Her work is mainly in the philosophy of language, with interests lying in the intersection of philosophy of language with cognitive science, metaphysics, and epistemology. After completing her PhD from Rutgers University in 2011, she worked at USC for a year before moving back to the east coast to join the Barnard-Columbia department. Before attending graduate school, she spent several years traveling, with stints in Australia, Fiji, and Korea. Along with travelling, she enjoys cooking, cycling, and playing with her two one-eyed cats.
